We’ve just rolled out a quality-of-life update to make error messages way more useful when a model fails to respond.
Before, you’d get a basic error message — and that was it.
Now, you’ll get a smarter, interactive error card that lets you:
Switch to a different model instantly — right from the message.
Pick from recommended alternatives (editor’s choice) or browse all available options.
This makes it much faster and easier to stay in flow when something goes wrong — no extra clicks, no digging through menus.
Quick heads-up: If a model fails, you can continue working as long as you have a valid response selected as context.
But if you only had a single active model and it failed, you’ll need to switch to a working model before continuing — and now doing so is just one click away!
And looking ahead: we’re exploring ways to detect models with connection issues even before you use them, so you can avoid interruptions altogether. More on that soon!
